Karma Agile self-propel wheelchair

Since January 2025 we've supplied 99 standard wheelchairs, the everyday self-propelled and transit chairs people use for trips out, appointments and getting about at home.

They're simple, tough chairs, and it shows. Only 6 of those customers have reported a fault since, 7 faults in all.

What this tells us

Karma chairs make up almost all of our everyday wheelchair sales. The Agile and Ergo Lite 2 self-propelled chairs and the i-Lite transit chair are our top three. They're light, well made and good value.

Even a standard chair needs the right fit. Seat width, seat depth and footplate height all affect comfort, and whether it's a self-propelled or a transit chair depends on who'll be pushing. A few minutes in the showroom makes a big difference.

How we counted: these figures cover sales from our Stratford-upon-Avon showroom between January 2025 and October 2026. "Faults reported" counts the times a customer called us out, or brought equipment in, because something had gone wrong after they bought from us: a repair, a breakdown, a puncture, a part failing. Routine annual services are not counted, and several visits for the same problem count as one fault. It can include problems with other equipment the customer owns. Models we only sold once with no faults are listed by name below the table.
